It’s been a long time since my last post. I have good and bad news for you.

The good news is: Swisscom launched the new Xtra-Zone website today. From what I’ve seen so far, it doesn’t look bad.

But what’s bad about it, is that SMSkyline no longer works with the new website. I don’t know if it is possible to do the same thing with the new website. I will look into this in my spare time. But right now, I can’t guarantee a new version of the widget.

One of my recent projects, Far from home, is now officially online! Actually it’s the blog of my sister and her husband, who are travelling around in USA and Canada for a year.

They started their journey yesterday in Zurich and first flew to Seattle. If you understand the german language, you can read their diary. 

I also updated the portfolio with details about the project.

This is the start! I finally managed to get online with my new website. As you may have noticed some time ago, the domain changed. You can now access my website through http://exquited.com.

A lot has changed in the content. I tried to bring the weblog together with other site contents and put it into the same design. I now officially call WordPress the best Blog software based on PHP. The template engine is really very good, so you can do almost anything you want do.

There is a lot of content, that isn’t online yet. So please be patient. In the next time, the website will be in a static change. I’ll have to try the best methods to present the stuff, so I’ll probably change alot. But it won’t go offline again – I promise.

So, I hope you have fun when you are looking through my website. Enjoy the stay!

Tja, so in etwa das steht nächstens an.

Ich möchte diese Webpräsenz neu aufbauen und ausrichten. Dazu muss ich mir erstmals Gedanken machen und so lange wird diese Seite offline sein. Es kann sein, dass sich der komplette Inhalt und die Zielgruppe für die neue Präsenz ändern wird. Diese Phase des “Rethink” wird wohl viel Zeit in Anspruch nehmen.

Erst nachdem man sich über das Konzept im Klaren ist, kann man anfangen, eine Struktur aufzubauen. Und wenn diese mal steht, beginnt die Arbeit am Design.

Vorgesehen ist also, am 1. Mai 2006 offline zu gehen.

Die Programmierung für die Version 1.3 von SMSkyline dauert noch an.

Dem Problem, dass aufgrund der Cookie-Einstellung in Safari, das Versenden der SMS fehlschlägt (siehe Kommentare des letzten Eintrags), habe ich mich auch angenommen. Momentan komme ich aber zu keiner anderen Lösung als die da beschriebene.
